Dr. Karsten Klabe: Your experienced ophthalmologist for minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS)
The specialty of Dr. Karsten Klabe, ophthalmologist and our head surgeon, is the minimally-invasive surgical treatment of glaucoma. He is among the first to use micro-implants and is using a new laser therapy in addition to surgical treatments.
In corneal transplantation, he is using the particularly gentle DMEK technique in which only individual corneal layers are transplanted. Until the end of 2014, Dr. Klabe was the chief physician of the ophthalmologic clinic at the Marien Hospital Düsseldorf for ten years. We are very happy that he has been working as an ophthalmologist and head surgeon for us since 2015.
